OBJECTIVE |
|
Career Ascent provides
Chartered Accountants who have 1 year or more of
industry experience and passed C.A. final Examination on
or before May 2006
with growth and career prospects enabling them to
realise their full potential and aspirations and widen
their horizon. It also ensures that they are provided
with careers that best suit their skill sets.
As a
measure to develop employment opportunities for
Chartered Accountants, The Committee for Members in
Industry of ICAI has been successfully organising
placement programmes twice a year, wherein prospective
employers and new members interact and explore the
possibility of taking up employment careers in various
organisations.
Career Ascent is a step ahead as an
extension to the same programme but with a different
objective. It aims at providing the experienced
Chartered Accountants with a platform to assess their
potential and refinement in work which they have
acquired during their working tenure.
Utmost care
would be taken to ensure that the confidentiality of the
candidates would be maintained during the entire

Chartered Accountants
who have 1 year or more of industry experience
and passed C.A. final Examination on or before May 2006 are eligible to take part in

| GUIDELINES FOR THE PARTICIPATING COMPANY
|
|
- Dates : 17th –
19th
January 2008
- Timings of the
event : 10.00a.m. to
6.00 p.m
- The companies
participating will have to register online on placement
portal www.placements-icai.org
- The participation
fees should be
remitted at ICAI head office New Delhi only
- Access to the
candidate database shall be allowed only after the receipt
of participation fee by CMII Secretariat
- The companies can
access the database from 7th January 2008 .
- Last Date of
registration for participating companies shall be 7th
January ,2008
- Participating
companies will have to provide the list of shortlisted
candidates online on placement portal www.placements-icai.org
by 11th January, 2008 .
- Final list of
candidates appearing for interview will be available online
on placement portal www.placements-icai.org
by 15th January, 2008
- Shortlisting of
the candidates by the company is restricted to 10 times of
the number of vacancies in that particular organization
- Once a company has
selected any candidate and the offer is accepted by the
candidate it is the responsibility of the company to inform
the organizers providing the offer letter duly signed by
both
- The companies
participating have to offer a minimum CTC of 5.00 lakhs to
the candidates in Career Ascent
- The entire process

No registration fees would be charged from the candidates
¤Kindly
also note that no TA/DA shall be reimbursed for attending the

The candidates would be identified by the code and not by
their Name

The last date for filling up On-line application forms for the
candidates would be 30th December, 2007

Candidates will be informed about their shortlisting by
companies On-line on placement portal http://www.placements-icai.org/
by 12th January, 2008

Candidates would have to confirm On-line their selection of
companies for interviews by 15th January, 2008
¤
There is no restriction on the number of interviews a
candidate can attend
¤
Once finally selected by any company and accepting the offer
by signing the offer letter, the candidate cannot appear for
any other interview
¤
The candidates would be provided with waiting cum refreshment
lounge at the venue
¤
A help desk for the assistance of the candidate would be
provided at the venue
¤

The interviews would be conducted on all three
days that is from 17th Jan 2008 to 19th Jan 2008 from
10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
The participating
companies have to schedule the interviews as per their own as
well as candidates convenience within the stipulated time
frame. |

way of cheque/Demand Draft in favour of 'The Secretary, The
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India' payable at
New Delhi only. |
| THE PACKAGE WOULD INCLUDE |

Fully furnished Corporate Meeting Room (CMR) to each company:
36 sq.m. (approx. 360 sq.ft.) Containing: 2 interview rooms, 1
presentation room and reception area. Individual needs can be
ascertained and provided at additional cost.

A Complimentary hotel accommodation on twin sharing basis (one
room night per day of registration) at Hotel Grand Hyatt
including lunch and high tea for two.

Two Complimentary invitations to the CA Corporate Leader

tables, 4 chairs and Whiteboard in each room, common reception
